KONY 2012, is a year long project created by Invisible Children, that intends to use social media to expose Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda. For more than 20 years, Kony has abducted children and forced them into warfare to serve his own corrupt ideas. Through new forms of media, the KONY 2012 campaign hopes to make the world aware of his agenda. Director Jason Russell put together a video that tells the story of his involvement with the crisis and how international justice can be served if the word is spread about Joseph Kony.
